10 zlotych, 1794 – Series F – watermark [COAT OF ARMS] – RARE

10 zlotych Kościuszko Uprising treasury ticket , 1794, Series F, with a 5-digit serial number: 43898

This is a rare series (F) for this denomination; alongside series E, it is the rarest, which is why it is sought after by collectors.

Additionally, this is a rare variant, occurring at a ratio of 1:8 compared to the other pieces on a single sheet of handmade paper intended for printing this denomination —featuring a watermark in the form of a coat of arms with a postilion’s trumpet motif in the center, i.e., the upper part of the main watermark, from one of the Dutch manufacturers of handmade paper.

The banknote shows only a few signs of circulation; it is torn at the top and has been repaired on the reverse with paper patches, as are the edges themselves; despite this, it is a piece with a good appearance, thanks to the quality of the printing (high-contrast print). A fairly visible dry seal as well as handwritten serial numbers; the letters “B S”—the chemical security mark—and the signatures of the two commissioners, M. Pągowski and T. Staniszewski, are clearly visible on the banknote.
