Obverse: a royal bust in a laurel wreath, wearing armor and a cloak, with visible armor sleeve straps, and the Order of the Golden Fleece, facing right; the legend in the rim reads: “

Reverse: a five-field heraldic shield crowned with a jeweled crown within a closed ring, featuring the coats of arms of the Crown of the Kingdom of Poland, the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, and the “Sheaf” coat of arms of the Vasa dynasty; on either side of the shield, the denomination “I-8”; the outer ring bears an inscription divided by the Wieniawa coat of arms of Bogusław Leszczyński, Grand Crown Treasurer, and the initials “MW”: MONET•ARGEN-REGNI•PO:1653;
