The authenticity of the work has been confirmed by the artist’s wife, P. Galina Kukla.
He studied at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Wrocław under Eugeniusz Geppert and Emil Krcha. He continued his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków in the studios of Wacław Taranczewski and Jerzy Fedkowicz, and subsequently at the Leningrad Academy. After returning to Poland in 1956, Kukla served as deputy director at the State High School of Fine Arts in Wrocław.
