Full of energetic colors watercolor depicting the personification of the wild, exotic jungle, nature and nature untrammeled by civilization.
Danuta Kolis paints mainly with watercolor and acrylic paints. She perceives the world through the prism of colors, she is fascinated by nature. Most of her works exude colors, and their main theme is a woman. In June 2019, the Municipal House of Culture Bogucice-Zawodzie, Katowice hosted another exhibition of her watercolors and jewelry made by the Artist in beading techniques.
Full of energetic colors, the watercolor depicts the personification of the wild, exotic jungle, nature and nature untrammeled by civilization.
The central element of the work is the face of a woman with Asian features, the surrounding colorful space was painted in the watercolor technique known as negative.
This technique is one of my favorites, I use it very often in my watercolors. What is it based on? Well, the space around the main object is painted gradually and in increasing detail with darker colors, creating depth in the painting.
This allows the negative space to be seen as shapes, and not just as insubstantial, empty holes. Positive shapes and negative space share edges and merge to create a complete design.
