Leoville Las Cases is one of the most important Super Seconds. If the 1855 classification were repeated, it would probably be in the first group. The castle has belonged to the Delon family since 1900. Valued traditionally, today it is experiencing perhaps the best period in its history.
Structure, longevity and precision are the most important characteristics of the wines made here. Their base is cabernet sauvignon, the proportion of which reaches up to 80%. In recent years, the producer, in keeping with the way the wine world is changing, has been studying its terroir closely to offer the world the purest possible expression of this unique place.
The set offers the 1989, 1999 and 2009 vintages in magnum bottles. Thanks to the large size of the bottles, the wine has matured more slowly, with enough time to show its full class. The 2009 still has a few years to go, but the older vintages can quietly be enjoyed today.
