Leoville Las Cases is one of the most important Super Seconds. If the 1855 classification were repeated, it would probably be in the first group. The castle has belonged to the Delon family since 1900. Valued traditionally, today it is experiencing perhaps the best period in its history.
Structure, longevity and precision are the most important characteristics of the wines made here. Their base is cabernet sauvignon, the proportion of which reaches up to 80%. In recent years, the producer, in line with the way the wine world is changing, has been studying its terroir closely in order to offer the world the purest possible expression of this unique place.
The set offers an overview of exceptional vintages that confirm the theses posed in the introduction of this description. The most important wine of the set is the 1990 vintage - one of the most successful and best received by the public. The powerful 2000 vintage and the classically beautiful 2010 offer a slightly more modern look at the estate's terroir, and the entire set provides a glimpse of how winemaking at Las Cases has evolved over the years.
