Framed in silver, the cabochon-cut stone shows clear influences of the ORNO style. These can be seen both in the overall approach to the design of the piece and in the details in the form of the so-called "curls," which served as a typical ORNO ornamental motif in the 1950s.
Signed on the outside of the rail with a silver sample of 3 (800) from 1963-1986 and partly with the maker's mark - the ring, however, is certainly a product of this manufacture, having been purchased as a pair with an identical one, auctioned in another lot.
Patina, tarnish.
Preservation condition of the item very good.
