Adam Bakalarz (born 1989) One of the more interesting and promising artists of the younger generation. He shows his versatility by dealing simultaneously with painting, printmaking and sculpture. He is a graduate of the Graphic Arts Department at the Faculty of Art at UP in Cracow. The main motif in his work is human figures, transformed and technically synthesized. He combines organic shapes with architectural-sculptural form, adding an emotional charge and intimate intimacy to the actions he performs. He often depicts his figures in a strong connection with flora and fauna, and the feeling of their connection is heightened by their placement on a flat monochromatic surface with a slightly outlined cubicle of a small interior. Boguslaw Deptuła aptly sums up his work in the short words "By sculpting he paints, by painting he sculpts...". His works are in many Polish and foreign collections.
