Jan Plaskocinski (1919 Chruślanki - 1993 Warsaw)- representative of naive painting. He was a self-taught artist. He was considered the most interesting contemporary individuality among contemporary primitive painters. His paintings, full of the strangest botanical specimens populated mysterious, thoughtful figures. Animals were given decorative forms, although they still remained lions, tigers, elephants. These gardens of the artist were created under the influence of longing for lurid gardens, similar to paradise visions. His paintings were exhibited abroad, including in Switzerland.
