"Zamyślona" is a subtle, captivating portrait, created from the combination of a delicate, realistic form in bronze, through which the figure's face was captured, and the simple, synthetic shapes of the body, carved in patinated wood. A body whose lines are reminiscent of archaic, primordial sculpture - yet extremely modern in its spirit. It is a sculpture of connections. A combination of the old and the contemporary, and a combination of materials that is particularly important to the author himself. This sculpture, despite its classical forms, is a study of modern man. At the same time a man detached from the context of place - a "global" man. The reverie of the title is the domain of the face shaped in bronze and depicted in detail - the whole story happens there, the rest is just a digression.

"Maciej Pecak is a constant "traveler" looking for the perfect form, dabbling in shapes, structure, drawing and color spot. This is a good thing, because this is what an artist should be - creative open and sensitive. A painter and sculptor in one with an innate imagination and sense of aesthetics, he makes his works full of themes, symbols and fantasies. They can be savored, covered anew and eagerly viewed."
