The structure is supported by three feet shaped like a bird of prey’s claw clutching a sphere. The hinged lid features a slightly domed top with radial fluting and a beaded rim, crowned at the centre by a cast sculpture depicting a rampant lion. The side handle features a raised thumb rest at the top to facilitate opening the lid.800/1000 silver, hallmarked "800".
