Biography
Studied at the academy in Munich, later in Italy (1913) and Paris (1914). In 1914-21 he stayed in Switzerland, where he became involved with the Dadaist movement (as the only Pole). He was a member of the Association of Jewish Painters and Sculptors in Cracow. From 1921 to 1924 he stayed in Berlin, where he was an art advisor to the "Wilde Bühne" and collaborated with the Aktion magazine. From 1924 he lived permanently in Paris. His individual exhibitions were held in Warsaw and Lodz in 1934, as well as in Zurich in 1919 and 1932 and Paris in 1933. He painted mainly landscape and portraits. He was involved in book illustrations and printmaking.
