Painter and educator associated with Silesia and Malopolska. Studied at the Academy of Arts
Fine Arts in Krakow, after graduation he worked as a drawing teacher and lecturer.
He was active in the region's art associations and societies.
He painted still lifes, flowers, vedutas and landscapes. He operated with a realistic approach,
subdued color range and attention to light.
He presented works at regional and national exhibitions. His paintings
are in museum collections and private collections.
Chwierut represents the trend of solid realist painting, combining the tradition of
academic tradition with the landscape and urban sensibility of the first half of the 20th century.
The presented work is an example of a balanced, nocturnal veduta of Krakow.
