Pozicijos aprašymas
Sąmatos: 6 000 - 9 000 EUR

The complex composition unfolds on a grand theatrical scale across a dramatic diagonal axis. In the upper right realm, bathed in divine celestial light, sits God the Father holding the terrestrial orb, flanked by the Virgin Mary in deep blue and rose drapery. Beside them, an angelic archer draws a bow, directing divine intervention toward the lower earthly realm.
To the left, a youthful, heroically draped figure in a striking crimson mantle—representing Virtue, Faith, or an angelic defender—works alongside a winged putto bearing a torch to cast down shadowy, demonic figures into the abyss below. The lower register features contorted, muscular bodies and monstrous forms falling away in defeat, symbolizing the ultimate victory of Divine Grace over Darkness and Heresy.
Giacomo del Po (1654–1726) was one of the most original and sought-after painters in Naples during the turn of the 18th century. Known for his monumental fresco decorations in aristocratic palazzi (such as Palazzo Caracciolo in Naples) and major architectural commissions for Prince Eugene of Savoy at the Belvedere Palace in Viena, del Po bridged the gap between the grand Baroque and the airy elegance of the Rococo. His works are preserved in prestigious international institutions, including the Museo di Capodimonte (Naples), the Kunsthistorisches Museum (Vienna), and the Louvre Museum (Paris). Oil on Canvas , 110.5 x 169.5 cm
