Eugeniusz Urbański-Nieczuja (1877-1955) painter. Graduate of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. Associated primarily as an author of female portraits. The heroines of his paintings were usually depicted against a background of patterned stained glass or fabrics, and he also reproduced the peacock feather motif in his portraits. He also painted atmospheric genre scenes and idyllic landscapes. His work is stylistically reminiscent of Art Nouveau art through decorativeness and linearity, and one can see references to the paintings of E. Okun. Eugeniusz Urbanski's paintings were distributed in the interwar period on postcards of the Cracow Publishing House of the Salon of Polish Painters, which contributed to the artist's popularity.
