Biography
Karol Pomykała graduated from the Faculty of Arts of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS) in Lublin with a degree in Graphic Design under the direction of ad. Krzysztof Szymanowicz. He currently works as Junior Art Director at Saatchi & Saatchi in Warsaw. He mainly works in workshop graphics, especially linocut, design and advertising graphics and sculpture. Member and founder of the art circle Frakcja Sucha. He engages in many creative, art, graphic design and sculpture activities. He has participated in many group and individual exhibitions at home and abroad, among others: (2009) post-competition exhibition, 1st International Biennial East Salon of Art, Lublin, (2009) post-competition exhibition ,2nd National Graphic Competition named after Ludwig Meidner. Competitions and awards: (2010) Main prize in the KTR Polish Advertising Contest in the Creative Students PRINT category in Warsaw, (2010) Award from the Dean of the Faculty of Arts for achievements and special contribution to the promotion of UMCS, (2009) Main prize for the design of the statue in the competition for journalists "Don't miss the changes in the East" in Warsaw, (2009) Nomination for the cultural award "Cranes 2009" in the category of painting, organized by Radio Lublin, (2004) Third place in the National Sculpture Competition in Myślęcinek near Bydgoszcz.
