The ideas that I process in my painting are the result of the investigation of innermost feelings, memories and mental state that govern the self, as an observed object. I am interested in the triptych self, nature, material world and how they interact each other. Particularly, in my last series of artworks I explore the simplicity of several monochrome human parts in conjunction with the multicolored artificial material world and the visual interaction that is being developed between them. The result of this encounter indicates possible self distortions which are the product of a general apathy and submission in external unknown forces, in every kind of authority and determination of fate. Someone is obliged to play several roles that he/she is unaware of because he/she does not know the law that they are subject to. Τhe relation that a person has with himself/herself and with the surrounding world is beyond him/her. The self is adrift by its disposition and its fallacies. In my painting I mostly use ink, pencil and acrylics.
