GRZEGORZ FRYDRYK, born in 1976 in Rzeszów. Graduate of the State High School of Fine Arts in Rzeszów. From 1997 to 2002, he studied at the Institute of Fine Arts at the University of Rzeszów. He received his diploma in 2002 from the Painting Studio of Prof. Irena Popiołek-Rodzińska and the Printmaking Studio of Prof. Andrzej Pietsch. Since 2006, he has been an assistant in the Department of Printmaking at the Faculty of Art of the University of Rzeszów, first in Prof. Włodzimierz Kotkowski’s Intaglio Printmaking Studio, and subsequently in the Relief Print Studio led by Prof. Krzysztof Skórczewski. In 2012, he earned his Ph.D. at the Faculty of Graphic Arts of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. He is currently an assistant professor in the Relief Printing Studio at the Department of Graphic Arts of the Institute of Fine Arts at the University of Rzeszów. His work focuses on graphic arts, drawing, and painting. He is the author of graphic designs for books and poetry collections. He is a member of the “Fraza” literary and artistic association and the International Graphic Arts Triennial Association in Kraków. Between 2014 and 2020, he organized the following solo exhibitions: the print exhibition “Impuls” at the Solvay Center for Contemporary Art in Kraków—2019; the print and painting exhibition “On Ceaseless Prayer” at the Diocesan Museum in Rzeszów—2016, and the exhibition “Graphics and Natural Objects” at the Art Gallery of the Municipal Cultural Center in Dębica—2014.
