Heraldic ex-libris of P. K. Brzostowski printed after 1762

Copperplate on an 8.2x5.7 cm sheet. Engraver unknown. The exlibris was created after 1762 in Vilna. Text on a coat of arms shield under a canon hat, on the sides two smaller shields with the Strzemię coat of arms. Exlibris mounted on paper backing. Good condition.
P. K. Brzostowski (1739-1827) - canon of Vilnius, Great Writer of Lithuania, Grand Referendary of Lithuania, Knight of the Order of the White Eagle and Order of St. Stanislaus. "Owner of Mereczowszczyzna and Pavlov near Vilnius. He amassed a historical and theological library of several thousand volumes, which, by bequest, passed to the Vilnius Chapter Library; duplicates and leftovers were acquired by Zwiebaum's antiquarian bookshop in Warsaw" (Podniesińska).
