Andrzej Kuśmierczyk is an artist who has been following his own path for decades - both in art and in life. Born in 1955 in Lodz, since his youth he has shown an unrestrained sensitivity and a need for artistic expression. His application to the Academy of Fine Arts ended with the rector's famous comment:
"You will learn nothing more with us."
In retrospect, these words became not only symbolic, but also prophetic - Kusmierczyk continues to create to this day, without an academic degree, but with an authentic voice and an unmistakable style.
From 2013 to 2015 he lived and created in the UK, where as a member of the Belper Art Group he participated in numerous local initiatives. His works were presented at a group exhibition in Belper (2015), and one of them was published in the monthly magazine "Derbyshire Life" (August 2015).
In Poland, he is also known for his many years of social and educational activities. From 2004 to 2019, he served as president of the Society for Psychological Knowledge "START," an organization that, in addition to spreading psychological knowledge, became a platform for numerous artistic activities and interdisciplinary cultural projects on his initiative.
Kuśmierczyk is also a well-known media figure - regularly invited to television and radio, he shared his reflections on the condition of modern man, psychology and the role of art as a tool for inner transformation.

Artistic style and direction
The work of Andrzej Kuśmierczyk is part of the current of symbolism. His paintings are metaphorical mental landscapes - they are created from what he carries in his head and heart, filtered through emotions, experiences and constant observation of the world. He draws inspiration from reality, everyday life, human experiences, relationships and reflections on existence.
His painting - often non-literal, saturated with form and meaning - requires the viewer to immerse himself, contemplate and interpret himself. It is an art that speaks with images, but tells with silence.
