A unique financial document from the period of recovery of the German economy after the hyperinflation of the 1920s, issued by Schlesische Landschaft in Breslau in January 1925. This bond was not backed by currency, but by a specific amount of rye - 20 cetnars to be exact, or about 1 ton.
According to the terms of issue, the value of the bond was to be calculated according to the average price of rye from the last ten days of trading on the Berlin Stock Exchange before the maturity date (April 1, 1930). Interest at 6% per annum was paid annually from April 1, 1925. The issuer, Schlesische Landschaft, guaranteed the payment and interest with all its assets.
