Biography
A graduate of the Faculty of Painting and Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. From the very beginning of his career, the artist has achieved significant success in art competitions. In 2006, he won first place at the First International Woodcut Triennial in Zakopane. He subsequently participated in prestigious post-competition exhibitions, including PROMOCJE in Legnica (2010), the Second ANIMALIS Painting Triennial in Chorzów at the MM Municipal Art Gallery (2011), the Wrocław Young Artists’ Art Biennial at the Impart Art Center (2011), and the Fourth ZADRA Painting Competition in Warsaw (2011). In 2012, he organized his first solo exhibition, titled “Once Upon a Time,” at the Schody Gallery in Warsaw. The artist’s work has gone through various stages of development—from printmaking, through drawing, to painting, to which he has devoted himself since 2010. He is fascinated by Expressionism and prehistoric art, which appear to varying degrees in his works, both in terms of form and content. In his current creative phase, he focuses on the use of Braille and Morse code, treating his paintings more as “recording” than as painting. His works constitute a personal diary in which the artist expresses his spiritual beliefs.
