Biography
From 1999 to 2004 she studied at the Faculty of Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in the studio of Prof. Leon Tarasewicz. She defended her diploma in 2004. In 2005, she completed a postgraduate internship at the Interdepartmental Intermedia Studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. She lives and works in Warsaw. Anna Okrasko's paintings mostly resemble painterly notebooks. In them she often uses text or graphic signs applied to the canvas with a stencil. Recently, she has begun to create monochromatic paintings. Two leading themes can be distinguished in her work: the problem of feminism and functioning within the art community, stereotypes about artists, "artistic production". Both threads are connected by the person of the artist - a woman painter.
