Biography
Born in Częstochowa, a graduate of the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, Faculty of Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art, she works and lives in Krakow. Her works have been presented in solo exhibitions in Krakow, Warsaw and Czestochowa, among others, in the BWA Gallery in 2019 exhibition entitled: "Big City Light". Participated in group exhibitions in Krakow, Warsaw, Czestochowa, among others, and abroad in Brussels, Tokyo, in the international Art Fair in Canada in Vancouver and the USA in San Diego. She is a winner of painting contests, including the National Geographic art contest "I paint what I see - a symbol of the city in the style of Picasso", in which she created an award-winning interpretation of the symbol of Cracow - "Lajkonik". The work promoted the National Geographic series "Genius: Picasso" in Poland. Winner of the national painting competition "Zadra" 2012, Jury Award and Audience Award "Magic of the Quarter of Four Faiths" Wroclaw 2013, awarded in the International Competition for the portrait of G. J. Steenke. Scholarship holder of the Erasmus program - Antwerp 2011/2012 and participant of the 2nd International Symposium Szymbark 2013. Honored by Artist Portfolio Magazine USA, California. An article about her painting appeared in the April 2020 issue of Life is Art Magazine USA, Los Angeles Paulina Taranek in 2020/2021 was included among the Faces of the Future of Czestochowa, while from July 1, 2021 her works can be seen at the exhibition on pandemic "Coexistence" at the Museum of Krakow.
