Born in 1989 in Częstochowa. A Polish interdisciplinary artist: painter, poet, performer, and photographer. She creates projects that combine the visual arts, the written word, and emotional and spiritual experiences. She is the owner and founder of the “Imperium Światła” Art Gallery in Częstochowa—a place where art becomes an experience, and artistic activities intertwine with reflection and mindful presence.
Her work is based on an intensive exploration of color, light, and structure, as well as poetic narrative and performative presence. In her painting, she primarily explores the realm of expressive abstraction, examining the relationships between emotion, energy, and the human inner landscape. Light—both literal and metaphorical—is one of the key motifs in her artistic practice.
As a poet, she creates reflective and emotional texts, often directly linked to her paintings and performative works. She treats the written word as an artistic medium in its own right—capable of moving the viewer, initiating a process of inner transformation, and building an intimate relationship with the audience.
In her performance pieces, she combines imagery, gesture, physical presence, and space, creating events that straddle the line between the visual arts and immersive experience. Her photographic practice serves as a tool for mindful observation—capturing fleeting moments, light, and the tensions present in reality.
Marta Dunal is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. Her works have been exhibited in galleries and art spaces in Poland and abroad, and her paintings are part of private collections.
At the heart of her practice lies art understood as a path to self-discovery—of the self, emotions, and the deeper dimensions of human experience.
