Anna Sobczak, Heart a glass lantern

Oil on canvas, 80x80 cm

Drenched in an ethereal ocean of shades of blue, our gaze is immediately drawn to the luminous image of a heart, gently pulsing in the center of the canvas. The artist has created a fabulous dance of swirling azure and enigmatic indigo, evoking heavenly clouds mussing the sky. This work, combining surrealism with a touch of romanticism, subtly plays with the boundaries between reality and imagination. The heart, delicately highlighted with strokes of intense lime, seems to exude supernatural energy, evoking feelings of tenderness and connectedness. Contrasting dark cracks running diagonally across the composition add drama, suggesting unseen stories. This masterful embodiment of contrasts and harmony invites endless contemplation and reverie.
