Sigismund II Augustus, Denarius 1563, Vilnius - raised tail - rare
Variety of the Hound with a teardrop-shaped shield and a raised horse's tail (Cesnulis/Ivanauskas type 8).
Condition: PCGS AU58
A beautifully struck and preserved piece for this type. Good detail. Gloss and lots of mint mirror. A rare vintage. In this state of preservation, the coin is rare and quite difficult to get on the collector market.
