Sigismund III Vasa, Szeląg 1615, Vilnius – date error 5-1 – rare and very nice
A variant with the abbreviated date 1 – 5 on either side of the royal monogram on the obverse.
Variant with the inscription … M D LIT on the reverse
A trefoil concludes the rim inscription on the reverse.
Date error – the digits of the date are reversed to 5-1 instead of 1-5 – rare.
Condition: 1-/2+
Slightly off-center obverse, with no impact on the coin’s legibility. Abeautifully preserved piece. Intense luster and mint mirror finish. Date error—rare. In this condition, the coin is rare and quite difficult to find on the collector’s market.
