Teresa Cienska-Hollanek is an architect by education and profession, she graduated from the Cracow University of Technology, Faculty of Architecture. In the field of fine arts, her mentor was the graphic designer Krystyna Wróblewska. In 1975 she married Stanislaw Cienski. In 1981 she defended her doctorate at her alma mater. In 1985 she had a solo exhibition at the Nowa Huta Cultural Center.
