Stanisław Mrowiec
Born July 6, 1936 in Biała Krakowska. Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow from 1954 to 1959, in the studios of Prof. Jan Świderski and Wacław Taranczewski. He received his diploma in 1959 in the atelier of Prof. Jerzy Fedkowicz.Immediately after graduation, in addition to easel painting, he was involved in the conservation of sacred sculptures, restoration of polychromies and painting of interior decorations of Roman Catholic churches. From 1974 to 2002 he was a teacher of art and vocational subjects at the State High School of Fine Arts in Bielsko-Biała. He lives in Zywiec. He has been a member of ZPAP since 1959. He primarily practices oil painting on fiberboard. Until the 1970s, he created abstract paintings, then his panels began to be filled with human figures (mainly female) juxtaposed with animals. He participated in national, district and community shows in: Bielsko-Biała, Krakow, Katowice,Radom, Rybnik, Szczecin, Warsaw and Zywiec. He has also presented his works outside Poland - in Belgium and Slovakia.
