Paulina Szczepaniak: I have my own language of symbols, which I created as a child. It has evolved over the years. It appears in my works in both literal and subtle ways. It is, of course, a reference to the dreams I experienced as well as to other things close to me. The world of dreams itself has always been very important to me. Since childhood I have been having quite intense and colorful dreams. Many of them I remember to this day. Interestingly, I rarely dream everyday dreams and really very rarely have nightmares. If I do, it's a mix of elements I see around me in various strange configurations. Again, these fantastic visions of various strange worlds, places, characters, events are the most interesting and stay in my memory the longest. Is it possible to transfer the whole dream into a painting? I believe that as much as possible :) I am constantly developing and shaping my style to become something special and unique....
