Monika Lakomska, ''Frank Zappa''.

90x90, oil on canvas, 2019

b. 1968, Zielona Gora

Graduated from the Faculty of Painting, Graphics and Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan. She has had many solo and group exhibitions. In her energetic works, she reveals an uncanny idea of nature. The artist says of herself: "I am fascinated by color and light, sometimes I "lead" the painting for a long time by painting over successive layers, seemingly breaking down realism, I create combinations of contrasting colors, eventually a new harmony, a new reality is to be created. Painting is a way to contemplate the nature of man, his perception, taming the world."
