Marcin Berdyszak is a diligent observer of life and culture. In his works he uses the motif of, among other things, the banana. This fruit, he says in an interview with Jaromir Jedlinski, "treats it as a litmus test of our times, not a symbol," and adds, "I focused on the banana for several reasons. One reason very trivial, namely that a banana, reproduced, recreated in various materials, will always be a banana, while an apple, an orange will be a ball. The other is that I experienced a certain shock when something that was for me as a child a fruit of desire turned out to be trash after some time, but only when I found plastic bananas. That plastic banana made me realize what the live banana was to me, and at the same time it made me realize what a trashy attitude I had towards the live banana. It's such an unbelievable thing, and as a result, even though I won't eat a plastic banana, the plastic banana, so to speak, is a kind of symptom of consciousness for me, and the live one is not" (M.Berdyszak, J. The presented work is an example of using a single banana. Here, the fruit is squeezed into the interstice of our everyday life - a cheesy insertion into "in-between space", "in-between time".
