Biography
He graduated from the State High School of Fine Arts in Wrocław. Beginning in 1960, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków in the Department of Painting and Graphic Arts—he received his diploma with honors in 1966. He studied easel and architectural painting in the studio of Prof. W. Taranczewski, and printmaking under Prof. Mieczysław Wejman. The advisors for his thesis were W. Taranczewski, C. Rzepiński, J. Stern, and H. Rudzka-Cybisowa. He has been a member of the Association of Polish Fine Artists (ZPAP) since 1966. His body of work includes over 30 solo exhibitions and participation in approximately 50 group exhibitions—both regional and national—at which he has won awards and honors. His paintings are held in numerous museums and institutions, as well as in private collections in Poland and abroad (including Canada, the U.S., France, Germany, Sweden, Austria, and South Africa).
