During the thaw, he initiated cultural renewal and co-founded the magazine 'Po prostu'. He exhibited in the galleries of the weeklies: 'Po prostu' 1957, 'Nowa Kultura'-1959, 'Współczesność', 1961. In 1960-1965 he published in the pages of 'Współczesność', essays from the borderline of literature and painting theory. Painter, art historian, cultural publicist, illustrator. Author of surrealistic short stories and plays. Associated with the environment of Miron Bialoszewski's Theater on Tarczynska Street. His creative associations count him among the Arsenal formation.
The direction set by Boleslaw Brzezinski was taken up only by the generation of artists entering the scene in the 1980s. His original and revealing paintings, viewed from the perspective of half a century, surprise with their liveliness, boldness of vision, novelty of subject matter and evoke associations with the achievements of leading representatives of Neue Wilde or the Italian Transavangarde.
