In 1978, he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow in the studio of Professor Włodzimierz Kunz. In 1980, he settled in Paris. In 1985, he received a diploma from the National Academy of Fine Arts in the studio of Abraham Hadad. For his activities
artistic activity, he was awarded a prize from the Ile-de-France Regional Council in 1986. From 1986 to 1995, he regularly stayed and exhibited in New York, where he received a Pollock-Krasner Foundation scholarship in 1988. In June 1989, a monographic exhibition entitled: Korczowski / Painting was held at the Zachęta National Gallery of Fine Arts in Warsaw. In 1998, the Polish Institute in Paris organized a retrospective exhibition of the artist.
Korczowski creates his own world, where different cultures and their traditions mix with natural elements. Beginning with his early works, the artist places exaggerated symbols and ideograms on his canvases. His spiritual master is Tadeusz Kantor, whom the artist met in 1970. It was to him that Korczowski dedicated his exhibitions several times, especially a large series of works on cardboard entitled: Karonteka.

"Different colored paints thickly and irregularly cover the canvas. The artist applies them with violent, spontaneous strokes, as if resulting from internal impulses, intensifying the impression of the painting's expression. Often the excess paint used runs down the surface of the
painting, creating vertical, chaotic and irregular lines. These "unpredictable" streams further thicken the dense, saggy texture of the canvases. Parisian art critic Muriel Carbonnet, writing about Korczowski's paintings, calls them "a true chromatic drunkenness." Its mood-forming colors, their expressiveness and dynamism, give the artist's abstract colorism an emotional dimension."
