Studied at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Lodz (now the Academy of Fine Arts). He received his diploma in 1970 in the studio of Prof. Marian Jaeschke. He was a professor at his alma mater and at the School of Information Technology in Lodz, and also taught for several years at the European Academy of Arts in Warsaw. In the 1970s he was a member of the Wiadukt group. He was involved in painting and drawing. In his early years, he painted expressive paintings of a journalistic nature. Numerous works had an anti-war message. In 1972 he took up photorealism, becoming known as the main representative of this direction in Polish art. Sadowski reached for subjects typical of this direction: portraits and cityscapes with crowded streets, colorful storefronts and flickering neon advertisements. He was particularly fond of painting antique urban architecture and luxury cars and motorcycles with shiny bodies. The painter captured on canvas mainly images of places and people that are familiar to him. This allows us to consider his paintings as a kind of painter's diary.
