Yaroslav Bidiuk (ur.1999) swoja drogę artystyczną rozpoczął w mieście Chmielnicki (Zachodnia Ukraina). Po ukończeniu szkoły przygotowywał się w zakresie malarstwa i rysunku w pracowni Olega Demko. W 2017 roku podjął studiów Malarstwa na Uniwersytecie Pedagogicznym im. KEN w Krakowie. Pod czas studiów brał udział w licznych plenerach oraz wspólnych wystawach m.in. w Galerii pod Baranami, , Zatorskim Centrum Kultury oraz klasztorze w Tyńcu. W 2020 roku miałm wystawę indywidualną w mieście rodzinnym. W 2022 obronił dyplom z malarstwa pod kierownictwem prof. Małgorzaty Wielek-Mandreli.
Praca pod tytułem „Russian Warship, go fuck yourself” jest interpretacja obrazu Normana Rockwela „Tattoo Artist” przedstawiająca mistrza tatuażu i tatuowanego marynarza. Artysta utożsamił tatuowaną postać marynarza z bohaterami wyspy węży na Ukrainie których odpowiedź rosyjskiemu okrętowi wojennemu przeszła do historii. W tej interpretacji obrazu Rockwela tatuaż utożsamia ludzką silę i odwagę wobec ogromnej maszyny reżimu totalitarnego prowadzonego przed garstkę rosyjskich oligarchów. Ogromna propaganda nie ma szans względem ducha niepodległego kraju.
Yaroslav Bidiuk (born 1999) began his artistic career in the city of Khmelnytsky (Western Ukraine). After graduating from school, he prepared himself in painting and drawing in the studio of Oleg Demko. In 2017, he began studies at the Pedagogical University of KEN in Krakow. During his studies, he took part in numerous open-air workshops and joint exhibitions, incl. at Galeria pod Baranami, Zatorski Centrum Kultury and the monastery in Tyniec. In 2020, he had a solo exhibition in his hometown. In 2022 he defended his diploma in painting under the supervision of prof. Małgorzata Wielek-Mandrela.
The work entitled "Russian Warship, go fuck yourself" is an interpretation of Norman Rockwell's painting "Tattoo Artist" depicting a tattoo master and a tattooed sailor. The artist identified the tattooed figure of a sailor with the heroes of the Island of Snakes in Ukraine, whose response to the Russian warship went down in history. In this interpretation of Rockwell's painting, the tattoo represents human strength and courage in the face of the enormous machine of a totalitarian regime led by a handful of Russian oligarchs.
