66 x 86 cm, oil on canvas
Studied at the Faculty of Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow (1957-1963). Soon after graduation, he took up teaching work, initially in lower-level education. In 1972-80 he taught at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, then at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, where he became a professor in 1989. In 1993 he was elected dean of the Faculty of Painting, and in 1996 he was elected rector of the university. In 1963-83 he was active in ZPAP, from 1975 he was editor-in-chief of the "Bulletin of the Artistic Council of ZPAP." In the 1980s, he was active and exhibited in the independent culture movement. The formation and serious tone of his painting was influenced in no small measure by the art and personality of Józef Czapski, with whom the artist was in personal contact. Focused expression, saturated, though usually played out in a narrow range of colors, clear masses and painting plans are the features that characterize Rodziński's painting of recent decades.
