Nicolas Moreau is a still life painter from the French school. He participated in many exhibitions in France and abroad. Here is an excerpt from the description of his paintings from the catalog of his exhibition in Paris: "The realism of his compositions and their delicate poetry is matched only by the freshness and finesse of his touch. The rendering of volume by means of shadows, soft sheens and luminous reflections is astonishingly true. His still lifes reveal a perfectly mastered art of trompe-l'oeil with all the striking relief effects and imitative technique characteristic of the great Flemish masters...The artist has chosen the path of simplicity, authenticity of things, respect for color and quality of light instead of Baroque splendor..."
