Jana Shostak - doctoral student at the UA in Poznań, scholarship holder of the Minister of Science for outstanding female scientists. Her works are in the collections of the Lower Silesian Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts, Arsenal City Gallery, FIlmoteka MSN. In her artistic practice, she focuses on activities that activate the community inside outside the artistic system. He believes in the effectiveness of art. MSN curator Sebastian Cichocki sums up her work, "Jana Shostak who uses art as a lockpick, breaking into other non-art systems such as Polish language, religious pilgrimage or beauty contest." On 20/06/2017, on World Novelty Day at the Zlote Tarasy shopping mall, she defended her master's thesis in Miroslaw Balka's Studio of Spatial Activities. She is currently working on a documentary feature film "Miss Polonia" (produced. WFDiF, co-director Jakub Jasiukiewicz) as a director. She has participated in exhibitions in Poland and abroad, including Her Own Way (TOP Museum Tokyo), Art of Being Good (Tallinn Art Hall), Manifesta 11 (Zurich) and Biennale WRO Draft Systems(Wroclaw), Start Point Prize (Arti et Amicitiae, Amsterdam), Resistance of Form.
