walnut, upholstery (Gobelin-style jacquard fabric); 92 x 62 x 60.5 cm.
Northern Poland, Bydgoszcz, Otto Pfefferkorn Furniture Factory?, 1920s.
Armchairs with a geometric, monumental design based on richly turned wooden elements. The seat and backrest are upholstered, rectangular in shape, and covered with a thick, patterned tapestry fabric featuring a dense floral motif (roses, peonies, and foliage) rendered in muted tones dominated by green, pink, and beige. The armrests consist of spherical elements supported by turned balusters; the front and rear legs feature a similar baluster construction, joined at the bottom and front by connectors with a wavy spool-shaped profile.
Condition: good, with slight wear on the frame; upholstery has been replaced; the set includes one additional cushion.
