Biography
Visual artist and painter, a graduate of the University of Rzeszów, where she earned a Master of Arts degree in painting and drawing. Her painting thesis, completed under the supervision of Prof. Tadeusz Boruta, received an honorable mention. She also completed studies in computer science at the Rzeszów University of Technology.In her work, she focuses on the contrast between the small human figure and vast space, juxtaposing diminutive figures with expansive, minimalist planes and a thick, sculptural composition. Material, texture, and the physicality of the surface—achieved through dense layers of paint and spatial form—play a significant role in her work. The minimalist character of her works is often marked by silence, solitude, and an atmosphere of contemplation. Renata Masłyk’s paintings have been presented at solo and group exhibitions in Poland and abroad. The artist is a member of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers (ZPAP) and the president of the Luminarte Foundation.
