Biography
A graduate of the Faculty of Industrial Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (1992) and a graduate of the painting studio under the supervision of Łukasz Korolkiewicz. She worked in graphic design, collaborating, among other projects, on the continuation of the visual identity for Centrala Produktów Naftowych (CPN) and the creation of a Visual Information Guidelines catalog for the first line of the Warsaw Metro. At the same time, she created a series of digital collages, album covers, paintings of cats from her original “Art DeKot” series, and book illustrations (including two of her own poetry collections). In 2019, she began painting experiments inspired by the principle of a kaleidoscope as part of the “Color Fan” series, creating the series “Tonda,” “Politrony,” “Magnationy,” “Tetraptyki,” and “Firmamentum”. In 2023, she returned to her original “Art DeKot” series, creating the following series: “Piksoty,” “Kottony,” “Ornakoty,” and “Kalejdoskot Świadomości.” She has held the following solo exhibitions: “Moje Anioły,” Bombonierka Gallery, Łomianki (2006); “Moja droga od fotografii do ilustracji,” DK Pompa, Pomiechówek (2010); “Kolorowy Wiatrak,” Cosma Gallery, Sopot (2021); “Color Fan,” SDK Przy Kozach Gallery, Warsaw (2022); “Świat w odbiciu wiruje,” Kamienica Theater, Warsaw (2023). Participant in the group exhibition “Year of the Tiger” at Cosma Gallery, Sopot (2022) and participant in the “Open Gardens of Dąbrowa Artists” art festival.
