Hand closed, brass binding, gilded. Tailpiece sigmoid, basket-shaped, openwork, with the coat of arms of the Austrian Empire. Wooden shaft, cross-notched, covered with imitation lizard skin and entwined with brass filigree. A long cap, attached at the bottom together with the shaft by a ring at the hilt, at the top riveted with the pin of the head. All parts of the setting very richly decorated. The steel head, polished, nickel-plated, with a slight curvature, profiled on both sides into a single ridged groove. The pen is double-edged, the hilt symmetrical. On the inner sill, under the cap, a beaten signature: "WEYERSBERG & Cie SOLINGEN". P o c h w a s metal, trimmed with black leather. Brass hardware, gilded. Neck with bound monogram "FJ1", topped with a crown. On the inner side a catching entablature. Below the riffle with a fixed collar. The butt end with an asymmetrical spur. The outer sides of the hardware very richly decorated.
