Unknown Artist - 20th century(?) - Home Devotional Plaque in a Round Frame - (Eastern Borderlands, Devotional Objects, Religious Art, Vilnius)

A devotional medallion featuring an image of Our Lady of Ostra Brama in an ornate frame
An oval devotional image featuring a relief depiction of Our Lady of Ostra Brama, set on a dark green textile background beneath convex glass. Mary is depicted with her head bowed and her hands crossed over her chest, wearing a richly decorated robe, a double crown, and a radiant halo. A crescent moon appears at the bottom of the image. The metal appliqué features both golden and silvery surfaces; the type of metal and the finishing technique cannot be unequivocally determined based on the photograph.
The frame is metal, dark, profiled, with a delicate floral ornament running around the glass panel. The top features an openwork floral and foliage decoration with locally preserved golden areas on the surface. On the back, there is a small circular loop for hanging and a metal support shaped like an inverted letter “U,” attached with thread to the fabric backing on the reverse. The construction allowed the picture to be hung or placed on a piece of furniture.
The photographs provided lack legible signatures or markings that would allow for the identification of the artist, place, or date of creation. Visible wear on the paint layers, dark patina, and localized traces of metal corrosion; soiling on the glass; and significant wear on the fabric on the reverse side, with loosened weave and missing fibers.
