Waldemar Jerzy Marszałek (born Dobrzyca near Koszalin 1960) - studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk in the Graphic Arts Studio of Prof. J. Krechowicz (diploma in 1985). After graduation, he began teaching at his alma mater (he was an assistant to Prof. C. Paszkowski in the Workshop Printmaking Studio and an assistant professor at the second level of the school until his postdoctoral degree). Since the mid-1990s he has been associated with Triad. For many years he practiced lithography and graphic design. Since 1994, he has been primarily engaged in painting and drawing. He is the author of about thirty solo exhibitions and has participated in dozens of group exhibitions at home and abroad. In 2005 Waldemar J. Marszalek celebrated his 20th anniversary of creative work. In October 2006 he had a large retrospective exhibition at the Olsztyn BWA, accompanied by the publication of a catalog.
