Marta JAMRÓG (1983), Fish; 2019

Acrylic, pigment, board; 28.5 x 26.5 cm
Signed p. d.: Marta Jamróg

In 2019, she graduated with honors from postgraduate studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. She is inspired by both iconography and folk culture and folklore.
"Marta Jamróg in her artistic activities, proposes a return to the roots of the image, to the ancient sources of imaging, when the image had a magical and sacred function, and was not just an aesthetic object with which she situates herself in the space of the contemporary cultural avant-garde. This is particularly evident in her murals where asceticism of form is combined with richness of meaning." (source: Szum magazine)
Her works, created with extreme precision, can be found in private collections in Poland and around the world.
