Jacek MALINOWSKI (born 1969, Zielona Gora)
Primavera, 2019.
acrylic on canvas, 120 x 80 cm
Graduate of the Julian Fałat High School of Fine Arts in Bielsko-Biała. Currently living in Gdansk, Warsaw and Tuscany. Author of such projects as: the Week of Christian Culture, the Arts Warehouse, CAT3W - Center for Creative Activity of the Third Age. At the Warehouse of Arts in Warsaw, he teaches drawing and painting classes for adults. The artist spends an entire summer every year creatively in Tuscany, Italy, where a painting series on the Italian landscape is still in the making. The subject matter of this landscape has been treated as an effort to find a symbol - synonymous with the Tuscan landscape. It also increasingly moves in the direction to show an abstract form, which, despite synthetic references, still represents an expressive, organic and emotion-filled message. The paintings are extremely expressive in color with strongly saturated often contrasting hues. Deep purples intermingle with blues, blacks and mint greens. "My paintings are a constant search for movement, confronting dynamic spaces with static planes. Exploring the kinetics of color." And Tuscany - one of the most beautiful regions in the world, has captured the artist with its beauty, the atmosphere of the hot Mediterranean south. The author asks himself: What is what I do for me? Is art just a hackneyed notion that bounces off the wall of the dead-end street it has run into? Aren't the artists who call themselves priests of human emotions just plain crooks, by any chance? The answer is still to be found, but this is probably not surprising, after all, everyone carries a potential that no one in the world is able to know one hundred percent.
