M. Karlowicz (1876-1909) - composer, conductor, publicist, mountaineer. Passionate about photography, his works were characterized by a high artistic level. Together with Mariusz Zaruski, he created the foundations of TOPR. 8 II 1909, during a skiing and photography excursion, he died in the Tatra Mountains covered by an avalanche.
